"The cargo ship Kholmogory left the port of Bronka in the direction of Kaliningrad."
The next departures of the Kholmogory vessel from St. Petersburg to Kaliningrad are scheduled for the next months. On the first voyage, the ship delivered rolled metal to the region, and on the next voyage, it delivered cement, for which there is already a boom in the region. Until recently, four ships operated on the shipping line between the Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions, three of which were railway ferries. They ran between Ust-Luga and Baltiysk.
An additional vessel was needed due to restrictions on the transit of goods between the Kaliningrad region and the main part of Russia through the territory of Lithuania, which came into force on June 18. At the same time, not all, but part of the goods fell under the ban, however, they make up at least 30% of the total volume of cargo, and now there is only one way left for their delivery to the region - the sea route.
