Next year, they plan to launch a ferry service between St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. Andrey Yermak, Minister for Culture and Tourism of the Kaliningrad Region, told TASS.

The project is still under development, because so far this option seems interesting, primarily due to cargo transportation, and not due to passenger transportation.

Also in the plans is a project to attract Moby SPL ferries for passenger traffic along the St. Petersburg - Kaliningrad line.

At the moment, the Ust-Luga-Baltiysk ferry line runs between the Kaliningrad and Leningrad regions, which is mainly aimed at freight traffic.
