Coffee imports to Russia in 2020 originated from 60 countries. The main suppliers were Vietnam, Brazil and Italy.
Almost all of the volume came from unroasted Robusta coffee with caffeine.
Compared to 2019, shipments from Brazil increased by 34.5 per cent to 15,200 tons. Unroasted Arabica and Robusta with caffeine were imported from Brazil.
Such popular coffee brands as Jacobs, Nescafe, Paulig, Nespresso, Ambassador, Carte Noire etc. are imported into our country.
Transportation specifics
Coffee absorbs odours and moisture very quickly, so it is advisable to transport it separately from other goods, or to keep this in mind when preparing your shipment, and to keep the humidity to a maximum of 7 per cent. It is transported in plywood boxes, with paper or parchment. Coffee beans may be transported in bags.
