The 5th International Transport Conference "ShippingRu 2022" was held in St. Petersburg

Today's economic realities: first of all, sanctions, as well as post-quarantine echoes of the container collapse, export duties and legislative innovations keep the transport and logistics industry in constant tension.

The conference began with a session on the conjuncture of the freight and commodity markets, directions of cargo flows, container transportation.

Topics discussed were related to:

- the current state of the cargo transportation market in Novorossiysk,

- dynamics in the container transportation market, forecasts and trends in this segment

- market conditions for ro-ro (ro-ro ships) transportation

- influence of ESG factors on cargo transportation.

And also, at the second session, the topic dedicated to the port capacities of Russia was raised. On the readiness of the port infrastructure of the Caspian and Far Eastern basins for a possible reorientation of grain cargo flows

The conference participants also discussed the work of ports during the period of sanctions, the growth in the capacity of seaports of the Russian Federation, profitability and flexibility in port and stevedoring activities, the possibility of modernizing and building terminals in accordance with priority cargo flows, state regulation of port activities and many other pressing issues.

The sessions were accompanied by lively discussions and discussions.
